20/20 Vision Day 15 - Free Time

By this time in our 21 days of 20/20 vision, we’ve covered nearly every aspect of life.  We’ve considered our work hours, travel time, household responsibilities, personal care, thoughts and words. Looking at our free time choices seems an invasion of privacy.  That is why these are questions only you can answer.

“What free time?” most adults that I know would ask,  especially those who are  parenting. Parenting does not have time boundaries. Hobbies can develop into work. Social media can rob us of many minutes and relationships.  Free time can provide flexibility in schedules and moments of rest in a busy day.

Too much free time can become a trap. The Bible lists several verses about those who are idle, without sufficient work, meddling, or filling time speaking things they ought not to speak.      1 Tim 5:13; 2 Thes 3:11; Titus 2:3; and Pro 24:2 are some.  Free time is something requiring balance.

“Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.” Ps 90:12NLT

Father God, we give our free time to you. We acknowledge areas where we develop habits that may waste time. Purify us in our free time.
