In Transition...again?
Have you been in a space of transition?
Recently, I have sensed that God is moving me from one place to another, not physically, but from one project/assignment to another.
I don’t like this space.
I’ve been here before and realize now that it is an “out of my control space”. I know the Lord is sovereign; He is still there on the throne and here within me, but this is not a comfortable space. It is a space of doubting myself, of questioning my feelings and reliving conversations. It is a place of feeling exposed and vulnerable, of feeling out of balance and unsure of decisions.
This is a place of internal house cleaning, of tidying up. The normal schedules are no longer assuring. Underlying anxiety exists. Relationships are scarce and strained and confusing.
This is a testing.
Help me, Lord. Keep Your Word forefront so I can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”[1]
I know that I have this day before me. Give me your strategy for every connection, every conversation, every action. I ask for Your peace in and through me.[2]
Although I may have my intentions for today, let me rest confidently that You, Lord, will fulfill Your purpose for me because Your steadfast love endures forever. Do not forsake the work of Your hands, O Lord. Keep me supple as You mold me into Your will for this day[3]
I know that I am not alone on this day, in this journey of transition. Help my sisters and brothers with assurances of Your love, Father God, your provision and protection today. In the name of Your Son Jesus and by Your Holy Spirit, I ask this of You. Amen.
1 Hebrews 13:6 "So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
[2] Matt 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
[3] Ps 138:8 "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
